Currently, all open houses that are listed on this site are homes that are listed with a real estate agent. You are encouraged to reach out to several of the agents in your area if you are a homeowner looking to sell. Use the “Find an Agent” search for a real estate and let them know that you found them on OPEN HOUSES USA.

You do not need to register prior to visiting the open house. Just show up, have a look around, ask questions. Generally there will be a registration sheet there for you to sign in. This is used as a way for the agents to advise the homeowners how many, and who visited.

You do not need to bring anything to an open house. If you are represented by a real estate agent, then you can bring them – or at least let them know that you are coming. And when you show up to view the open house, then let the hosting agent know that you are currently represented by an agent – and who that agent is. If you have their contact information handy, then give that information to the host as well.

Most of the open houses are posted late in the week, so be sure to visit our site on Thursdays and Fridays for the most recent information.

Great question! This will be home specific and will depend on the sellers or local regulations. Ask the agent hosting the open house when you arrive, or even before. If you are represented by an agent, then have your agent reach out to the hosting or listing agent.

There are no costs to attend an open house of a residential home. Agents host these open houses so that anyone can attend. Bring yourself, spouse, family, friends, and any others. You don’t even have to have the intention to buy the home if you like it. Open houses are a great way to see design trends, neighborhoods, room and home layouts, and many other features. And it gives you a chance to get to know the real estate agent hosting the event. You may not need an agent now – but you may make a great connection for the future.
